1. Information We Collect
When you use Paletto, we collect:
- Your email address, provided when you request a preview.
- Your uploaded photo, used solely to generate your painting.
- Shipping address, collected at checkout and passed to our fulfillment partner.
- Payment information, processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
- Usage data, including page views and funnel events, collected via PostHog analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your AI painting previews.
- To process and fulfill your canvas order.
- To send order confirmation and shipping updates.
- To send preview reminder emails if you haven't completed your order (you can opt out at any time).
- To improve our service through anonymized analytics.
3. Your Photo
Your uploaded photo is used only to generate your painting. We do not share your photo with any third party other than the AI generation service (OpenAI) required to produce your previews. We do not use your photo to train AI models. Unpaid preview images are permanently deleted after 72 hours. Images associated with paid orders are retained for up to 30 days after fulfillment to support reprints, then deleted.
4. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party services to operate Paletto:
- OpenAI — AI image generation
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Prodigi — Canvas printing and fulfillment
- Amazon Web Services / Cloudflare R2 — Image storage
- PostHog — Product analytics
- Meta — Advertising and conversion tracking
Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data handling practices.
5. Data Retention
- Unpaid session data and preview images: deleted after 72 hours.
- Order records: retained for 7 years for accounting and legal compliance.
- Email address: retained until you request deletion.
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@paletto.co. We will respond within 30 days.
